The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Frances Carlson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Joe and Pat Dybas
Condolence: Carol and family...we were so sorry to hear about your parents passing. We've known Bill and Fran many years since Joe moved to the Albany field office of the FDIC where he and Bill worked together until Bill's retirement. We always enjoyed keeping in touch occasionally since then. We visited your Mom and Dad a few times after they moved to Atria but last time were told that they were no longer living there but couldn't get any more information. It wasn't until we learned that your mom had passed away that we sadly found out about your dad as well. Unfortunately we had not heard at the time or would certainly have reached out to you and your mom. Our deepest sympathy to you all. May you take comfort in your happy memories and in knowing that they're together again with Billy. I'll always remember the lovely sentiments your dad expressed at the time of Billy's passing expressing the joy he brought to all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Their family was your parents' greatest source of joy and pride. Surely they are missed by many, many people.

Condolence From: Merl Seavey Bartels and Joan Bartels Puglia
Condolence: While Uncle Bill and Aunt Frances was in Florida, we met them for a few lunches. Sometimes at "The Catfish Place" to enjoy seafood and blueberry cobbler. Another place was "Crabby Bill's" on the lakefront in St. Cloud. They both loved looking at the marina and watching the birds. I always will remember Uncle Bill and Aunt Frances as two happy, contented, loving spirits. God bless you and the rest of the family. Mom has told me many stories of their younger years and how Mom used to tease her sister! Aunt Frances, now that you are with Uncle Bill and Billy, in heaven please watch over everyone. Love you.

Condolence From: Carmen Akins Cardoza
Condolence: I am Fran's first cousin. Her mother, Grace, and my father, Floyd Akins, were brother and sister. I remember attending Fran and Bill's wedding when I was very young. Although we didn't visit often I always enjoyed any time with them. They were a great couple - fun and caring. Bill always reminded me that Frances' middle name was Carmen? I will be at the service 'in spirit'. My sincere condolences and love to all.

Condolence From: Pastor Bob Long
Condolence: Greetings, Carol and family,

I just saw Fran's obituary in the paper this morning and wish to offer my love and care at the loss of your mom. And then, because I did not see Bill listed as either deceased or surviving, I called the funeral director and discovered that he died early in the year. So now I offer love and care at the death of both of your parents. Your dad and mom and brother Billy, along with you, were a special family. I always cherished the time we were able to spend together in so many ways.

A memory I will take to my own grave is Billy, Sunday after Sunday, running up the aisle to give me a big hug, and your mom behind him saying, "Billy, wait your turn. Wait your turn," while you dad just beamed in care and support in the background for Billy's ability to express himself.

Your mom and dad were compassionate, caring people from whom I learned much. I deeply respected them. I admired and still honor their commitment to help those with special-needs-but-immense-gifts.

Both your dad and mom knew how to express deep love in practically helpful ways which made life more full and complete for others. The world is a much better place because of the hospitable, generous spirit they shared with us all. I celebrate them both.

Although I cannot be at the service in person, please know I will be there in spirit.
